Yesterday when we were driving to church, we say a bunch of news vans and people standing outside on one of the streets in our neighborhood. We were all wondering what was going on. We were tempted to stop and ask, but didn’t want to be late for church. By the time we returned, the news vans were all gone. We opened the paper this morning and right there on the front page was a story about it. Gov. Schwarzenegger had paid a Father’s Day visit to a family in our neighborhood! The mother of the family is in the military and serving in Iraq. How wonderful that our governor took time out of his Father’s Day to visit this father of three whose wife is serving our country. I only wish that the Governor had gotten there fifteen minutes sooner so we could have gotten a glimpse of him when we drove by.
