At the beginning of the school year, Kayli set a goal of getting 500 Star Reader points. (Yes I know it is now called Accelerated Reader, but Star Reader is easier to say and type!) The reward for reaching the 500 point mark is getting your name on a plaque in the school library. She did the math and figured out how many points she needed to get each month and has worked each month this year to reach her goal. This week she made it to 504 points. I am so proud of her for not giving up, sticking to her plan and achieving her goal. WTG Kayli!

That is awesome! I think I am going to do a Star Reader program in our house. The kids love reading so much and I’d love to reward them for choosing a good book over TV or something. 🙂
