The Kids’ Valentine’s

I decided to make the Valentine’s for the kids this year. I took the picture and then printed these on photo paper on my printer at home, they are 4×5 with four per 8.5×11 sheet of paper. The kids passed them out at school this morning. I had mom’s in the parking lot at pick-up tell me how adorable they were. Seems that they were a big hit!

We picked the Rodeo up

We picked up the Rodeo this afternoon. They replaced the radiator, again. Turns out it was leaking transmission fluid. They said there was a problem where the transmission line was connected to the radiator. I guess they couldn’t just fix the line and had to put in a new radiator. Let’s hope this is the last time we have to take it back.

Falyn’s First Dentist Appointment

Falyn had her first dentist appointment this morning. She did so well! She sat in my lap while they examined her. She let them count her teeth, clean her teeth and put fluoride on them. The dentist said that her teeth look great, but that she needs to cut back on the binky. He also said that she has a bit of a cross bite.

The Rodeo is back in the shop

We dropped the Rodeo back off at the shop this morning. It was leaking some sort of fluid, which Dan suspects is oil. Any guesses on how long it will take to get it back this time? I am beginning to worry about the competence of these so called “Master Mechanics”.

I hurt my foot

I was walking to Talia’s classroom on Monday during school pick-up and somehow hurt my foot. I must have taken a bad step. Since it was still hurting pretty badly on Wednesday, I went to the doctor to get it checked out. There is sign of a fracture on the x-ray, but could still be a hairline fracture. If it still hurts in a couple of weeks I am suppose to go back for another x-ray. In the meantime, I am suppose to stay off it (ya, right) and put heat on it. It still hurts today, but is slowly getting better.

A Million Letters

One of my flickr friends, Sharon of Pink Sherbet Photography, is doing a an art project this year. For this project, she hopes to receive a million letters/postcards and will create a work of art out of them that will be posted on her website. You can read all about it here.

Here’s the card I sent.

Here’s a picture that Sharon took showing my card with all the other letters and postcards she received last week.

Get in on the fun and send her a card or postcard too!

Welcome to February!

I can’t believe that it is already February. This year is already flying by. I’ve been creating custom desktops for each month this year using fd’s Flickr Toys wallpaper tool. Here’s the one I made for this month. The picture is one I took last month while playing chalk out front with Falyn. The wallpaper tool turned it into an image sized for my desktop with the calendar added. I’ve found it really useful to have this months calendar on the desktop.
