A Day in the Snow

Yesterday we drove up to Big Bear so the kids could play in the snow. Due to all the traffic, it took us three hours to get there and four and a half hours to get back home. Falyn did not at all like the cold and cried almost the whole time we were out in the snow. Riley and Aidan also were crying at times because they said they were too cold. Despite all the traffic and the cold, the kids did manage to have some fun. We did decide that we will never try to drive up to and back from Big Bear in a day. In the future we will rent a cabin and stay for the weekend. Here’s some pictures of the kids having fun in the snow.

Taking Down Christmas

Every year before I take the Christmas decorations down, I take a picture of all the wonderful Christmas cards we received that year. This is the picture from this year. I spent all afternoon taking down and putting away all the Christmas decorations. I like to do this on New Years Day each year. Falyn was very sad to see the tree go, but seemed a bit less sad we we told her it would be back again next Christmas.

New Years Eve 2009

We had lots of fun ringing in the New Year last night. Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Ron came over to join us in the fun. We watch Wall-E, had snacks, played Guitar Hero and everyone mananged to stay awake to go outside at midnight and ring in the New Year.

Here’s a few more pictures.
