The workers tried hard to get the pavers finished, despite the rain. It is suppose to rain everyday for the next week! This will delay when the pool gets finished, as they can not plaster the pool while it is raining.
Jared, Riley and Aidan went Christmas Caroling with the Cub Scouts at Bella Terra tonight. Even though it was raining, they had a great time.
Work continued on the pavers today. We really love how they look and are so glad we went with the pavers over the concrete.
They finished putting down the sand and started placing the pavers today.
They installed the copper mess around the pool today. This is a new requirement by the city and supposedly it is to prevent electrocution of people standing on the pavers if the pool gets hit by lightening. The also started putting down the sand that the pavers will sit on.
The new gas meter was installed today. An upgraded meter was needed to handle the additional capacity required for the pool heater.
Kayli’s soccer team finished off the season in 3rd place in Area K. They won their region and only lost one game the entire year. The team that won 1st place got to go to the 1/2 place game because they ended up with one goal more than Kayli’s team. (The two teams tied when they placed each other.) We are all happy with how the ended up the year, even though the didn’t get to advance. The Huntington Beach Independent had an article about their team in their paper on Nov. 24.
Today was the annual Girl Scout Ice Skating event. Everyone had a great time.
Today they started putting ledgestone on the planters.
