Falyn’s First Time in Swing

Today while the twins were at speech class, I took Falyn and Aidan to a nearby park. While there I put Falyn in the swing, she loved it! She looked so cute sitting the seat. She looked so little, but at the same time looked so grown up.

Bad way to start the day

Falyn woke up at 2 am because of her cold. This is the third night in a row she has woken up in the middle of the night. I woke up to discover that I also have a bad cold and feel just horrible. I couldn’t get her to go back to sleep in the crib, so I took her downstairs. I tried rocking her, but an hour later she was still fussing. Finally around 3:30 I was able to get her to go to sleep by lying down with her on the coach. She woke back up around 5 am and I then took her back up to my bed and nursed her and we both fell back asleep. I had to get up at 7:00 to take a shower and get the boys ready. Aidan has preschool at 9 and I had to bring the twins and the baby along to take him there. Falyn cried some of the way there and most of the way back. I can tell that she is going to be one fussy baby all day.

Falyn’s first ride in the backpack

Last night Dan took Falyn for a walk in the backpack for the first time. She was more than a bit leary of it at first. After a bit, she decided it wasn’t so bad and started to enjoy the ride. By the end of the walk she had fallen asleep.

Happy Memorial Day!

Isn’t this an adorable picture? Talia loves to carry Falyn around and Falyn seems to enjoy being carried around by her Talia picked that flower from our front yard and put it in Falyn’s hair. We are having a very kick-back type of day today. Dan took the kids (except for Falyn) and about a half-dozen neighbor kids on a walk to 7-11 for slurpees, so it is really quite around here right now. Falyn is sleeping in my lap as I type.

This morning the twins got up and dressed themselves. They picked out their favorite tank-top shirts and “shiny” pants – which don’t exactly match. Riley got his shirt on backwards and Jared got his pants on backwards, but I’m not complaining! I’m so glad they are now doing more and more for themselves. It makes life so much easier on me now that they use the potty and are starting to get themselves dressed and put on their own shoes. They still need some help figuring out which way clothes go, but it’s a big improvement over me having to do everything for them.

Tonight we are going over to Dan’s parents house for a BBQ. I’m sure Samantha will be there, but I’m not sure whether or not Pam and Lawrence will be. I know the kids all want to see their cousin Lawrence, so I hope they are there.

3 Months Old

It’s hard to believe that Falyn is three months old already. She has grown so much in the last few weeks. She is already fitting into some of her 6 months sized outfits. She is very alert now and loves to observe what is going on around her. She is starting to figure out how to grasp at objects and get the into her mouth. She sit all by herself for 6 whole seconds yesterday. She loves “talking” to you and will hold long conversations gooing back and forth with you. She is getting better in the car, but will still sometimes scream when I have to stop at redlights. If I hit to many or get stuck for too long at one, she will end up screaming the entire rest of the way home. She sleeps through the night pretty much all the time now. And all in all, she is such a sweet, adorable, cute, cuddly baby!!! We so much love having her.

Finished Falyn’s Blanket and Taggie!

My friend Lisa gave me instructions on how make this cute “taggie” blanket for Falyn. I used the same material that I used for her no-sew fleece blanket. Falyn loves them both! It was so hard finding time to get it sewed with all the kids around. I finally had to get Dan to hold Falyn last night so I could finish sewing it.

Two Months Old

I can’t believe Falyn turned two months on last Friday! She is such a sweet baby. She hardly ever cries, except when she is hungry. She smiles a lot and loves to “talk” to you. She has even started laughing now. She loves to look at all her toys. She doesn’t hold them herself yet, but loves for you to hold them up so she can look at them. I finally bought a stroller for her. I am able to put her carseat into it, which makes it so much easier when dropping Aidan off at school. She doesn’t mind being in it, as long as you keep it moving.

Falyn had her two month check-up last week. The doctor said that she is doing just great. She also comment that she was very strong, since she can hold up her head really well now. At her check-up she got four shoots. She was very cranky afterwards and had a bit of a fever too. She weighed 10 lbs 4 oz and was 22 3/4 inches long. She is growing out of all her 0-3 months stuff and fits nicely into her 3-6 months stuff. She also has moved out of the size 1 diapers and into the size 2 diapers.

Sleep! Glorious Sleep!

Falyn slept for six hours straight last night!!! I put her down at 11:15 pm and she didn’t wake up till 5:15 am! I, however, woke up around 2 am and checked on her then again at 4 am and checked on her. It was sure nice not having to get up twice during the night to nurse her. I hope that this sleeping pattern sticks!

Finally got her smile on film!

It is finally going to be warm enough today to put Falyn in this cute purple sundress that I have been wanting to get pictures of her in. I set up a photoshoot this morning after nursing her so she would be nice and happy. I managed to get some really cute pictures and even some with her smilling!

The blanket Falyn is on was made by her Grandma Nelda just for her. Isn’t it pretty?

The pics are here.
