Today is the first full day back at school for Aidan, Talia and Kayli. We are all slowly adjusting to the new routine. Today was the first day I brought all of the kids with me to drop off. Aidan was excited about having snack at school today. It will also be his first day having recess. (The kindergarteners don’t have snack or recess on half days.) I will have to pick Aidan up at 11:05 am and the girls up at 2:45 pm. We then have to go to an orientation for the twins preschool at 3:00 pm. They will start preschool tomorrow. That last for an hour, then the girls have to hip-hop class from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm and I have to go to a parent safety meeting, required for anyone that volunteers at the school, at 7 pm. Sometime in there I have to fit in dinner and feeding the baby. This morning I have to get some girl scout stuff done and get a couple of store orders packed. So, it is going to be a busy day, so I better get started!
Our Cheetah Girls
The neighborhood girls have formed their own version of The Cheetah Girls. They have assigned the members of the group different jobs – wardrobe, make-up, choreography and song writing. They have written several songs that are actually pretty good, they rhyme and have a proper beat. They got their wardrobe all set up today and had me do a photoshoot for them. I doubt they will take this much further before getting bored and moving on to something else. But I hope they at least have one concert so I can video tape it!
Another Meeting with the Planner
We met with the planner this afternoon to go over the details of our remodel project before he starts work on the final plans. He also had to knock some holes in the ceiling of the garage to see which direction and what size the beams are there. He said he sould have the plans done in around 2 weeks and then hand them off for the structural analysis, which should also take around 2 weeks. He thinks it can all get done in 4 weeks, but said to plan on it being 4-6 weeks. He will also go to the city and get the approval for the permits once the plans are complete. In the meantime, we will be very busy clearing out the garage and the bonus room.
Happy 9th Birthday Kayli!
Today is Kayli’s 9th birthday. One more year till she moves up to double digits! She is such an energetic child and has so much personality. She is very outgoing and has tons of friends. Kayli’s favorite colors are pink, blue and purple. Her favorite tv show is “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. Her favorite books are “The Boxcar Children” and “The Secrets of Droon”. Her favorite thing to wear are skooter skirts. She loves to play soccer, play outside and play on the computer. Her best friends are Julia, Dana and Mikayla.
Talia’s First Day of 6th Grade
Talia had her first day of 6th grade today. Her three best friends are all in the other class. But she does have some other close friends in her class. She was really excited that her friend Olivia that moved a two years ago is back and she is in her class. Talia’s teacher is the same one that her Daddy and a couple of her Aunts had when they were at this school. She is suppose to be a wonderful teacher.
