Aidan’s First Day of 4th Grade
Aidan started 4th grade today. This is the first year they are allowed roller backpacks. Aidan was so excited to be able to get one this year. Aidan’s teacher this year is the same teacher Talia had for 4th grade. She is a great teacher and I’m thrilled that Aidan has her. Aidan said he like his new teacher and had a great first day.
Aidan’s 10 Year Old Portraits
I took Aidan’s 10 year old portraits today. We want his portraits to show things he is interested, so we did some with his soccer ball, boogie board and guitar.
Aidan’s 10th Birthday
Today was Aidan’s 10th birthday. He picked ice skating for his birthday activity. It was the first time the boys and Falyn had ever been ice skating. They all did really well and everyone had a ton of fun. We went in the afternoon and almost had the place to ourselves. At most, there were 20 people on the ice, with 10 or less on the ice most of the time.
Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Ron and Aunt Samantha came over tonight for a little party. Per Aidan’s request, we had pizza and Texas sheet cake.
Last Day of School
Today was the last day of school for Jared, Riley, Aidan and Kayli. They have all done great this year. Kayli got straight “A”s again and Aidan came close with only one “B+” and the rest “A”s. They are all excited about summer.
The day before the last day of school is Field Day. Here’s some pictures taken during that event.

Cub Scout Promotion Ceremony
Last night the Cub Scouts had their annual Promotion Ceremony. Aidan was promoted from Bears to Webelos and the twins were promoted from Tigers to Wolves.
Aidan’s April Cotillion
Aidan had his last Cotillion of the season tonight. The last Cotillion is always a Costume Ball. Aidan wore an Obi-Wan Kenobi costume. Aidan has finished off his first year of Cotillion knowing how to do the basic steps to several different types of dances. He does them all very well. Although he would never admit it to his friends, he does enjoy Cotillion and is looking forward to next year’s season.
Oso Lake Cub Scout Camp-Out
Dan spent the weekend with the boys at a Cub Scout camp-out at Oso Lake. They did rowing, ax throwing, archery and BB Guns while there. The boys said it was a lot of fun.
Aidan’s March Cotillion
Aidan always enjoyes cotillion and last night was no exception. He is getting very good at the dances. It is so much fun to watch the kids dance. Next month is the costume ball, which is the last cotillion of the season.
Wings, Wheels, and Rotors
We took the boys and Falyn to the Wing, Wheels, and Rotors expo today. They kids all had a great time watching planes and helicopters take off and land. The boys enjoyed going in some of the planes and helicopters. Falyn went in one helicopter then decided she didn’t really want to go in any more. She did go in the C-17 plane but wouldn’t go in any other ones. Here’s some of the photos from today.
Miramar Air Show
Last Sunday Dan took the boys to the Miramar Air Show. They loved it! They couldn’t stop talking about all the cool stuff they saw. Their favorite thing was sitting in one of the helicopters. They had seats in the grand stands and enjoyed watching all the planes.
