Dan and I went to a Halloween Party last night. Dan went as Julius Cesar and I went as a Roman Goddess. It was a huge party with a DJ at our friend’s house. We knew a lot of the people there and had a great time dancing late into the night.
Got my 25 lbs lost medal to add to my 10% lost keychain at this mornings Weight Watchers meeting!
Yes I know, I haven’t updated my blog all summer. We were super busy had a wonderful summer. Now that the kids are back in school, I will be back filling it with all the fun stuff we did as I get time.
I was stopped at a red light on the way home from picking Falyn up at preschool. Out of nowhere a truck driven by a 17 year old girl rammed into the back of my van. Falyn immediately started crying and saying her neck hurt. My neck hurt also, but my main concern was for Falyn. I wasn’t going to stand in the middle of the street where someone else could hit me, so I pulled over out of the way of traffic. I then immediately called the police. Since Falyn was complaining about her neck I had them send the paramedics. The firemen arrived first and check Falyn out. They said she was in no immediate danger but that I should take her to her doctor to get checked out. By then the police arrived. I told them what happened and after they took down all of my information they told me I was free to go. I went home and immediately got an appointment for Falyn. I called Dan and got him to pick all the rest of the kids up from school while I took Falyn to the doctor. I also called and got myself an appointment for tomorrow to get checked out by my doctor. The doctor examined Falyn’s neck and Falyn cried out in pain when she touched a certain point in her neck. The doctor said that is not where they want to see pain and that because of that she had to send her for x-rays. Falyn did really well, standing still for all five x-rays. The doctor is suppose to call to let me know the x-ray results.
Dan and I went to a Halloween party last night. It was so much fun! We have not been to a non-kid Halloween Party in a very, very long time. I tye-dyed the shirts myself and we made the bell bottoms out of old jeans.
Dan was given two VIP tickets to tonight’s LA Kings hockey game. The tickets were for a VIP Suite. They were great seats right in the middle of the stadium. This was the first time we had ever been to a hockey game. We still aren’t sure what all the rules of game are, but we enjoyed watching the game anyway. The Kings ended up winning the game 3-1 over the Thrashers.
My Girl Scout Troop worked the cookie booth tonight from 6-8 pm. The girls all had a great time. They all worked hard and had a great time helping sell cookies.
Yesterday the inspector came by and said they needed to add some more support to the slide structure. They work late into the evening last night to finish it up and the inspector came back today and signed off on everything. They will do gunite on Friday! As part of the rework, the moved the light under the slide so it will be centered under the grotto. They also ran the electrical stub to the BBQ area. Over the weekend Dan added a conduit to from the side of the house to the BBQ area to run cable TV or internet at some point in the future.
All the stuff for the pool equipment.
They finished framing the slide. It is now ready for concrete!
