They started putting on the tile today. They got most of it done, except around the skimmer and the spill from the spa.
Today the workers create a band with mortar where the tile will go. The tile will be at the waterline all around the pool, except for where the slide structure is located. Above the waterline on the spa and back part of the pool will be ledgestone.
The workers poured the rest of the coping today and removed the remaining gunite from the backyard. As the pool gets closer and closer to be finished, the kids get more and more excited. We all can’t wait till we can dive in!
They poured the concrete for part of the coping for the pool today. We went with a colored concrete and I really like how it turned out. They also got the forms on the spa and started removing the gunite that was in the backyard.

Over the weekend, Dan finished raising the height of the wall. He took off the top row, then added three new rows.

Today they finished the rock work on the slide. We love how it turned out. Everyone that looks at it has commented that it looks like something they would have at Disneyland. They still have to add the final colors to make it match the ledgestone/tile/coping colors.
Today the workers started creating the faux rocks for the slide/grotto structure. They shape it by hand out of concrete, making it look just like rocks. They are doing an awesome job, it looks great!
