Falyn’s 15 Month Check-Up

Falyn had her 15 month check-up a few weeks ago. I’ve been so busy that I am just now getting around to writing about it. She weighted 23 lbs 9 oz and was 31 1/2 inches long. That put her in the 65th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for length. She got two vaccines at her visit and although they said she wouldn’t have a reaction, she did have a fever for 24 hours and was very cranky. The doctor said she is doing great and we were happy to hear that her ear infection had gone away.

The doctor was impressed by how many words Falyn can say. She seems to come out with new words everyday now and will often repeat what you say to her. She frequently puts together two words and on occasion three words, with “Mommy down!” and “Where binky?” being the most common phrases. Her newest words are airplane and tree.

Falyn just got her bottom tooth to the right of the middle teeth. She has also been cutting her molars, with three out of the four almost completely in. That gives her a total of eleven teeth now.

Falyn’s favorite thing to do is play outside in the backyard. She will spend hours going from one toy to the next, with the twin’s little coupe cars being her favorites. She also loves to follow her brothers around, trying to do everything they do.

Falyn is such a sweetie and has the most adorable giggle. She loves to give you hugs and kisses. Her kisses come with an audible “uhhhhhhhmmmm-mah”. You know she is giving you kisses, even when giving them from across the room, because of that sound. She is such a happy child and finds just about everything funny. The only time she cries is when she gets a hurt or is tired. We are so bless to have her in our life.

Fun at the Park

I took the kids to the park today. They had a lot of fun, but it was hot! Falyn loved playing in the sand. It was the first time she did that and I’m happy to report that she did not try to eat the sand. Here’s some picture I took while we were there.

Day 29

Yesterday Dan started installing the floor in the addition. He got all the flooring done in the playarea.

And he got a good start on the hallway.

Also yesterday, Grandma Nancy and I finished painted the girls’ room.

Aidan Lost Tooth #2

Aidan lost his second tooth last night. It was so loose that it was turning sideways, so I pulled it out for him. He got a 1971 dollar coin from the toothfairy for his tooth.

Last Day of School

Summer has official started! Talia and Kayli got out of school today at 10:15. I’m happy to say that they both did great this last semester getting all A’s. Which means Talia again made the honor roll, continuing her unbroken record of being on it since 4th grade. Kayli will be eligible for the honor roll next year when she will be in 4th grade.

Aidan’s Kindergarten End Of Year Celebration

Aidan had his kindergarten end of year celebration last night. He was so very excited! The kids were all so cute. They came in bringing flowers.

Then they sang some songs.

After the principal, teachers and priest spoke, they handed out the certificates.

When the ceremony was over, they had a reception in the hall. We got one final picture of Aidan with his teacher.

On the way to the car, Aidan was saying how much he loved kindergarten and how much he is going to miss it. He also said he can’t wait for 1st grade to start. I sure hope this enthusiasm for school lasts as he gets older.

Painting Weekend! (Days 26 & 27)

We spent the weekend painting the addition and the garage. The garage is now completed primed and painted. The hallway, ceilings, playarea, office and bathroom are all painted. The girls’ room is primed and the twins room has been primed with the tape lines for the race flag stripe completed.
